A noble ministry.

I became a mum in April 2023 to a beautiful girl — being a mom is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Right from when she was still in the womb, I prayed over her and spoke life based on the word of God. Holding her in my arms on the day she was born for the first time was indeed an answered prayer.

Motherhood has taught me so much, it’s a huge blessing and also a great responsibility. You can’t be a mom without being sefless—it’s not just about you, it’s about putting your children’s needs first.

Some days, I feel utterly exhausted and think of how I am going to do this—then I remember the word of God telling me to rely on him for strength.

No one should go on the journey of motherhood without God — a praying mom is a powerful mom. Christianity and motherhood are deeply connected, as the Bible highlights the role of mothers in shaping faith, nurturing children, and demonstrating God’s love. From biblical examples like Mary, the mother of Jesus, to Proverbs 31’s depiction of a Godly woman, motherhood is seen as a calling that requires wisdom, patience, and faith.

It’s important to speak life over our children. Raising Children up in the way of the Lord requires prayer and guidance from the Holy bible. It’s also essential to make sure as mothers we also show God’s love by persevering, showing kindness, empathy and compassion to our children. Motherhood comes with challenges, but God provides grace for every season (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Motherhood is a profound and holy ministry entrusted to women by God. As Christian mothers, we are called not only to nurture and care for our children but also to disciple and raise them in the knowledge of the Lord. This calling is no small task; it requires patience, love, and a deep reliance on God’s grace.

In Proverbs 22:6, we’re reminded to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” https://bible.com/bible/111/pro.22.6.NIV

Each act of love, teaching, correction, and prayer is sowing seeds of faith that can bear fruit for eternity. As mothers, you have the privilege of being your child’s first teacher about God’s love, His Word, and His ways.

Remember, you are not alone in this journey. God equips and strengthens you for this ministry, giving wisdom when you ask, comfort in moments of exhaustion, and joy as you witness your children grow. Embrace this ministry with confidence and a heart full of hope, knowing that each small act of faithfulness reflects Christ’s love and is seen and valued by God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of motherhood and the privilege of guiding young hearts toward You. Grant me wisdom, patience, and strength for this calling. Help me to love, teach, and encourage my children with a heart like Yours. May my words and actions reflect Your grace and truth. I trust You to fill the gaps in my weaknesses and to guide my children on paths of righteousness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
