Have you ever felt like you’ve drifted too far from God? Like you’ve made too many mistakes for Him to still love you?
God’s grace is unmerited favour—it is not earned because it is freely given to us. The truth is, God’s grace is incomprehensible and unfathomable. His love doesn’t fade, even when we turn away— (Luke 15:11-32) tells us of the story of the prodigal son.

Eva’s story is a powerful reminder that no matter how lost we feel, God’s grace is always calling us back.
Running Away from God
Eva, like some of us grew up knowing about God. She attended church as a child and prayed occasionally, but as she got older, life got busier, and faith became less of a priority. She was chasing success, relationships, and independence—things she thought would make her happy.
Slowly, she stopped praying—quiet times and devotions became a thing of the past. Bible study became nonexistent. Church became something she only did when she felt guilty. Deep down, she knew she was running from God, but she told herself she was fine.

Hitting Rock Bottom
One bad decision led to another, and Eva found herself in a toxic relationship. She knew it wasn’t right, but she stayed, hoping things would change. The emotional weight of it all became unbearable. To cope, she turned to partying, drinking, and distractions—anything to escape the pain. In fact, she did things she never thought she would do just to please the guy she was dating.
One night, after yet another argument, Eva sat alone in her car, feeling completely shattered and broken. Tears streamed down her face as she whispered, “Are you there God? I need you!’’

Grace Found Her
In that moment, she didn’t hear an audible voice, but she felt a deep peace that surpassed human understanding (Philippians 4:7). It was like God was reminding her, “I never left you, I am always with you.” While it wasn’t an instant fix, it was the beginning of something new—there was a shift that day.
Eva started praying again—simple, honest prayers. She started studying her bible again and one verse that stood out to her at one moment was “Titus 2:11; For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.’’
Reading this verse of the bible made Eva realize that it’s the grace of God that has saved her—that grace has appeared to all people.

A New Beginning
With time, Eva walked away from the toxic relationship. She found strength in God’s presence and started surrounding herself with people who encouraged her faith. She also joined a bible believing church and served as a volunteer. It wasn’t easy, but she no longer felt alone—God was with her every step of the way.
Today, Eva looks back and sees how God’s grace covered her even when she didn’t deserve it. She now shares her story with others who feel lost, reminding them that God’s grace is greater than our worst mistakes.

God’s Grace is for You Too
Maybe you feel like Eva did—distant from God, burdened by past mistakes, or stuck in a situation you don’t know how to escape. If so, know this: God’s grace is enough. He’s not waiting for you to be perfect. He’s just waiting for you to turn to Him.
No matter how far you’ve gone, His grace is still reaching for you.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for your divine grace; your amazing grace. Help me to let go of the past and thrive in your grace. In Jesus most holy name I pray, amen.
